The rethinking of social relations ties in very closely to the last tab which was the reconceptualization of culture.Regardless of what some people may think, social networking is important in how we share ideas online.

All of these sites, if you look closely or not, use hyperlinks to connect everything. Facebook pages can link you with someone if you're in the same picture. From that person's page, you can click on their favorite movies section and see all the other people with Facebook accounts that like that movie.
As written in The Social Hyperlink by Lada A. Adamic, "since the very inception of the World Wide Web, the hyperlink has acted as a social element" (227). The authors of Spreadable Media feel the same way. Social relations online today help media spread further. The hyperlink, which as we learned from Adamic is generally sociable, only helps to find and link content together much easier. The reason why Susan Boyle became so popular was due to our Internet culture, but also our social relations. We are so used to showing our friends and family web content today, that it is very easy for good content to spread globally.
